Rava Upma

Ingredient
White Rava /semolina - 1 cup
Onion - 1 chopped finely
Small Tomato- 1 chopped finely
Water - 2 cups
Salt - to taste
Ghee - 1 tsp

To temper:
Oil - 2 tsp
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Urad Dal - 3/4 tsp
Chopped coriander leaves -1/2 tsp
few Curry leaves
Green Chilli - 1 chopped roughly

Method:
1] In a kadai - Dry roast rava for 3-5 mins till nice aroma rises, Do this in low medium flame...be careful dont let it brown,Set aside
2] Heat 3 tsp of oil, add mustard seeds, when it splutters, add urad dal and curry leaves.
3] When dal turns golden brown, add chopped onions,chopped tomato green chillies .
4] Saute until onions turn transparent.
5] Then add 2 cups of water and salt needed. Taste the water and check for salt.
6] When the water starts boiling, reduce the flame to low, add rava gradually with one hand and keep stirring with your other hand.
7] Once the rava absorbs all the water, cover and cook on low flame for 6-7 minutes. Do not forget to stir in between.
8] Delicious rava upma is ready to be served.Take a small bowl grease with ghee pour ready upma in it and press with spoon and put it on plate and garnish with coriander leaves.Serve it with any pickle or chutney.
