Baked Chakli

Rice flour (chawal ka atta) 1/2 cup
Oil 1 tsp

Low fat curds (dahi) 1 tbsp
Asafoetida (hing) a pinch
1 tsp sesame seeds (til)
1 tsp chilli powder
Salt to taste
Other ingredients
Oil for greasing

1] Combine the rice flour, oil, asafoetida,sesame seed,chilli powder and salt in a bowl and mix well.
2] Add the curds and a little water and knead into soft dough.
3] Put the mixture into a chakli press and press out round whirls of the dough onto a greased baking tray, working closely from the centre to the outside to the whirl (approximately 50 mm. (2″) diameter). You will get about 12 chaklis.
4] Bake these chaklis in a pre-heated oven at 180°c (360°f) for 30 to 35 minutes, turning all the chaklis once after 15 to 20 minutes.
5] Store in an air-tight container.
